The Importance of Insoles

The Importance of Insoles

Many people who like running often buy a pair of shoes and wear them till broken. They may never think about whether the insoles in the shoes fit them or not and think that the insoles are almost the same, but in fact the shock absorption, elasticity, whether the insoles have the function of improving the arch, etc. will affect one's feet. Generally speaking, the inner insoles of the newly bought shoes are the most basic one. If they do not match your foot shape or sports habits, it is recommended that you change them.

Let's learn about the function and material of insoles.

1. Prevent the foot from sliding in the shoe

The shoe bed inside the shoe is flat, but the sole of your foot is not. When you are walking, the sole of your foot will slide inside the shoe. That Every step of walking takes a little more effort will increase the possibility of all kinds of trauma when taking a long-distance walk. The use of three-dimensional insoles can fill the space between the sole and the shoe bed, and reduce the sliding of the sole in the shoe.

2. Improving support and steadiness of pace

Insoles with heel cups can reduce the swing of heel-to-ground during walking, thereby reducing fatigue and trauma.

3. Shock absorption

There are two kinds of shoe-absorbing insoles, one uses hard cup-shaped heel bracket. Because the thick muscle of human heel has a natural shock-absorbing function, this kind of insoles, as long as work in with a hard rubber bracket with a suitable radian, can play a good shock-absorbing function and suit for some stable and lasting activities, such as fencing, vigorous walking, hiking and so on. The other is to assist other soft materials, such as Gel, air cushion to absorb the impact of heel landing, suitable for running, basketball and other high-jump movements.

4. Correction of walking and standing posture

It sounds amazing, but this is exactly the function of orthotics insoles. Born with or for other reasons, the spine and leg bone of many people are not 100% vertical when walking, or their body may swing from side to side when walking, which will cause various kinds of bone and joint injuries in the long run. With orthotics insoles, they can correct the posture of walking and standing, thus reducing the trauma.

In terms of material, there are more than 100 kinds of corrective insole materials on the market, such as foam, EVA, high/low thermoplastic, glass fiber, silica gel, nanofiber, etc. Each material has different soft and hard densities, which makes it different in support, ductility, elasticity, stiffness, hardness and tension. The general foam rubber insoles have no other characteristics besides the low price, and most of the insoles of shoes are such insoles.

In addition, remember to wash and maintain insoles worn for a long time!!! The insoles are mainly washed by hand. Do not soak them in water, nor use washing machine and dehydration. You can use a soft brush to wash with clean water or soapy water. After cleaning, do not directly expose to the sun or use a dryer or hair dryer (because the material of low-temperature molding will deform when heated), so long as place them in a well-ventilated place.
